Achchi Bhookh Quiz smashes records with 35,000 sign-ups in Mumbai’s biggest food literacy event
The fourth edition of the Achchi Bhookh Quiz has broken records with 35,000 registrations this season. Organised by DNA (Daily News & Analysis) and LupinLife Aptivate, the event brought together over 300 children and parents in Mumbai to promote food literacy and healthy eating habits. Recognised by both the Asia Book of Records and the India Book of Records, it remains the largest food quiz of its kind in the country.
The quiz targeted children aged 6 to 12, from Classes 1 to 6, encouraging them to explore nutrition alongside their parents. Topics ranged from the nutritional value of foods and diet myths to balanced meal planning and food-related pop culture. The finale, hosted by quizmaster Avinash Mudaliar, also featured educators and nutrition experts aiming to improve understanding of healthy living.
Sana Roshith and her father Roshith Mohan emerged as the winners, receiving a hybrid bicycle, laptop, trophy, and certificate. The first runners-up, Anant Pradyumna Srikant and his father P. Srikant, took home a hybrid bicycle, Samsung tablet, trophy, and certificate. Teertha Garimella and her mother Pragati Garimella secured second runners-up, winning a hybrid bicycle, smartwatch, trophy, and certificate. Alongside the quiz, LupinLife launched Nutribot, a WhatsApp-based nutrition assistant. The tool helps parents address their children’s dietary questions, reinforcing the event’s focus on informed food choices.
The Achchi Bhookh Quiz continues to grow, reflecting a rising interest in food education among families. With prizes awarded and new digital tools introduced, the event has strengthened its role in promoting nutrition awareness. Organisers plan to build on this success in future editions.
