Almonte Medical Center Introducing Paid Parking Structure Starting This Month
The Almonte General Hospital (AGH) has announced the implementation of a paid, gated parking system, effective from August 15th, 2025. This decision aligns the hospital with Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital and most hospitals across Ontario, as part of a commitment to maintaining safe, high-quality care across all hospital sites.
Under the new system, a daily fee of $5 will cover parking for up to 24 hours, with in-and-out access allowed. Weekly, monthly, and annual passes will also be offered for frequent visitors. Importantly, all revenue generated from parking fees will be reinvested directly into patient care, hospital operations, and facility maintenance to support high-quality health services locally.
Residents near AGH have been notified about potential impacts, such as increased street parking. To mitigate any inconvenience, Fairview Manor residents will receive one complimentary pass to be displayed in Fairview Manor lot #4.
Organizations operating at the hospital will also be impacted by the parking fees. However, the hospital has assured that efforts will be made to ensure parking costs are not a barrier to accessing care. For inquiries about the passes, residents can contact [email protected].
The visitor and staff lots at AGH Fairview Manor will be credit and debit or staff parking pass access only. This move is expected to help support the long-term sustainability of local health services.
With the new parking system in place, the Almonte General Hospital aims to provide the necessary resources to continue delivering quality care and services to the community. The parking fees will remain among the lowest in the region, ensuring affordability for all.
