annual gathering of osteopathic surgeons showcases Perimeter's cutting-edge imaging technology

Perimeter Medical Imaging, a pioneering medical technology company, is set to transform cancer surgery with its ultra-high-resolution, real-time, advanced imaging tools. On September 17-21, during the Annual Clinical Assembly of the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons (ACA) in Salt Lake City, Utah, Dr. Amelia Tower, a leading breast surgical oncologist, will present on the use of wide-field optical coherence tomography (OCT) during breast-conserving surgery.

The presentation, titled "Use of Adjunct Wide-field Optical Coherence Tomography to Visualize Margins During Breast Conserving Surgery: A Case Series," will highlight real-world cases demonstrating the practical application of Perimeter's S-Series OCT. Dr. Sarah Johnson, an osteopath, will also deliver a lecture on the same topic.

The S-Series OCT, whose ticker symbol "PINK" is a nod to the pink ribbons used during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, received U.S. Food and Drug Administration clearance in 2021 under a general imaging indication. The performance of an AI-assisted version of the S-Series OCT is currently under FDA evaluation specifically for use in intraoperative breast cancer imaging.

Dr. Tower emphasizes that advanced imaging technologies, such as Perimeter's S-Series OCT, can provide real-time insights that enhance surgical precision and help in making the best decisions in the operating room.

The ACA, sponsored by the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, is a premier event that convenes more than 1,200 multi-disciplinary surgeons from across the country each year for networking and continuing medical education. Potential benefits of Perimeter's S-Series OCT and B-Series OCT are considered forward-looking information, as are Perimeter's future financial position, business strategy, and strategic goals.

Assumptions made by Perimeter include the accuracy of financial projections, obtaining positive results from trials, obtaining necessary regulatory approvals, and general business, market, and economic conditions. However, forward-looking statements are inherently subject to significant medical, scientific, business, economic, competitive, political, and social uncertainties and contingencies. Further risks, uncertainties, and assumptions include those applicable to Perimeter and described in Perimeter's Management Discussion and Analysis for the year ended December 31, 2023.

Perimeter does not undertake any obligation to update or revise any forward-looking information contained in this news release. Expected benefits of Perimeter's updated version of its ImgAssist AI are also considered forward-looking information.

In light of these presentations, Perimeter Medical Imaging AI is poised to make significant strides in the field of cancer surgery, offering hope for more precise and effective treatments.
