A 31-year-old woman has been arrested after forcing another driver off the A96 motorway in Bavaria. The incident, which took place on Tuesday evening near Landsberg am Lech, left the victim with minor injuries and significant damage to both vehicles. Authorities have since launched an investigation, including on suspicion of attempted manslaughter.

The woman, believed to be mentally ill, repeatedly rammed the rear of a 29-year-old man’s car. The aggressive manoeuvres forced him to pull over onto the hard shoulder. The collision caused property damage estimated in the mid-five-figure range.

The investigation remains ongoing, with authorities assessing the suspect’s mental condition and the events leading up to the crash. The victim’s car and the woman’s vehicle both sustained heavy damage, while the 29-year-old driver received medical treatment for his injuries. No further details about the prosecutor leading the case have been released.
