Boosting Women-Led Businesses: Championing Female Entrepreneurship

Santander Bank Polska and the Polish Entrepreneurs Foundation have joined forces to launch a new initiative aimed at supporting women in building successful businesses. The "EmPOWERed in Business" project, set to run until mid-November 2022, offers a series of workshops, educational grants, and subsidies to help women develop the skills they need to thrive in entrepreneurship.

The initiative, which kicks off after the summer break on September 14, includes workshops focusing on various aspects of business management. Topics covered range from building and managing business teams, leadership and motivation strategies, communication and conflict resolution, digital transformation, financial management, marketing and sales techniques, and more.

The program is open to entrepreneurs and business owners, particularly those running small and medium-sized enterprises, who are eager to enhance their business skills and leadership capacity. Participants will have access to expert-led workshops, networking opportunities with other entrepreneurs and business mentors, practical knowledge, and tools for improving business operations.

Magdalena Proga-Stępień, Head of Sales and Distribution at Santander Bank Polska, expressed that the project aims to develop skills, invest in oneself, and broaden horizons for women. The goal is to motivate and support women in starting and growing their businesses.

Notable speakers in the series include Anita Gałek, who will discuss the impact of the changing environment on technology, business, and society, explaining how the labour market has evolved over the years, the factors that have the greatest impact on society, and the competencies a woman should develop to become a successful leader.

On June 2, Dominika Bettman and Anna Orska will talk about diverse businesses and their benefits, differences in corporate social responsibility depending on the firm size, and how sustainability relates to diversity in business.

The "EmPOWERed in business" workshops are part of Santander's broader commitment to entrepreneurship and business development, aligning with their global focus on education, employability, and entrepreneurship.
