Car crash hospitalizes pregnant woman in Berleburg
Rear-End Collision in Berghausen Town Centre
A traffic accident took place in the heart of Berghausen on Tuesday afternoon, causing significant property damage and involving at least three vehicles. The incident occurred on Berghausen Street, near a local bakery.
The vehicles involved in the collision were a BMW and a Volkswagen bus. The BMW, for reasons not yet clear, suddenly stopped, leading to a rear-end collision with the VW bus. As a result, both vehicles sustained damage, with the VW bus becoming lodged with the BMW due to the latter's tow hitch.
To separate the two vehicles, a tow truck with a crane was called to the scene, and a tractor was also reportedly involved in the rescue operations. The exact extent of the damage from the accident has not yet been determined.
The driver of the VW bus, who is pregnant, was taken to Bad Berleburg hospital as a precaution. Fortunately, she did not sustain any injuries in the accident.
