Charity concert raises €2,000 for local hospice care in Bad Neustadt
A charity concert in Bad Neustadt has raised €2,000 for local hospice care. The event, held on March 6, brought together around 500 visitors to support the Rhön-Grabfeld Hospice Association. The donation will help fund essential services for seriously ill patients in the region.
The 'Herbert Rocks It' concert took place at the Garden City municipal hall, featuring live performances by Horse Power and Lucky's Good Stuff. Entry was free, but attendees were encouraged to donate to the hospice cause. Christof Herbert, chair of the Rhön-Grafeld CSU district association, organised the event and later presented the €2,000 donation to Richard Knaier, chair of the hospice association.
The Rhön-Grabfeld Hospice Association currently provides 12 inpatient hospice places. It relies on membership fees and public donations to maintain its services, which include free, anonymous support for those nearing the end of life. Herbert thanked the crowd and fellow musicians for their generosity, while Knaier highlighted how the funds would directly improve inpatient care. With around 500 people attending, the concert demonstrated strong community backing for the association's work. The donation follows ongoing efforts to expand and sustain hospice services in the region.
The €2,000 raised will go towards enhancing inpatient hospice facilities in Rhön-Grabfeld. The association continues to depend on public contributions to offer free, compassionate care. Organisers and attendees alike have shown their commitment to supporting those in need.
