Collaborating with Freedom Health Insurance to Combat Cancer
In a significant move to improve cancer care, Freedom Health Insurance has partnered with Reframe Cancer and Perci Health. This partnership aims to offer personalised, evidence-based care to the 1 in 2 people who will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lives.
Freedom Health Insurance, known for its focus on customer care and patient choice, has joined forces with Reframe Cancer, a provider of clinically regulated cancer navigation services. This partnership is a natural fit, as Reframe Cancer shares Freedom Health's commitment to putting patients first.
Perci Health, the UK's first virtual cancer survivorship clinic, is also part of this partnership. The collaboration offers the broadest level of care and personalisation on the market, making private healthcare more accessible to all, in line with Benenden Health's mission.
Through the Freedom 360 toolkit, Freedom Health Insurance members will have access to Reframe Cancer's clinical cancer navigation services. These services provide comprehensive clinical guidance, emotional support, and practical help throughout the cancer journey, across both NHS and private pathways.
Key benefits include clinical guidance and navigation regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), dedicated cancer nurse specialists for personalised information and emotional support, practical assistance with managing appointments and coordinating transportation, and extensive online cancer resources for education and prevention.
For a limited initial trial period, members can also access Reframe Cancer’s 'Care for Carers' product, offering support specifically to people caring for cancer patients.
The Freedom 360 toolkit also includes additional services such as Freedom Dermatology via Skin Analytics for early detection of skin cancer and other wellbeing benefits like legal and financial advice, life and wellness coaching sessions, and health discounts in fitness, nutrition, mental health, diagnostics, and lifestyle products.
Access for cancer-related services is by referral from Freedom Health Insurance’s internal cancer care team, with eligible claimants entitled to up to 6 hours of personalised Reframe Cancer support per policy year.
L&G Group Protection, another partner in this collaborative effort, has partnered with Perci Health, a UK-based virtual cancer survivorship clinic. This partnership brings personalised, evidence-based care to employees covered by L&G’s group income protection.
The partnerships between Healix Health Services and Perci Health, Reframe Cancer and Benenden Health, and L&G Group Protection and Perci Health, are all part of a broader initiative to improve cancer care experiences and outcomes.
Hoosh Mires, COO at Freedom Health Insurance, expressed that the partnership strengthens the cancer support available to members and aligns closely with Freedom Health's values. Reframe Cancer's CEO, Mark Stephenson, echoed this sentiment, stating that the partnership is a natural fit due to Freedom Health's focus on customer care and patient choice.
This partnership offers added reassurance and support alongside Freedom Health's unique NHS cancer cash benefit, making comprehensive cancer care more accessible than ever before.
