Denver Pioneers Cheer Squad hosts clinic for kids at Boys & Girls Clubs

University of Denver Athletics is partnering with our Colorado’s Together for Colorado Toy Drive. The Denver Pioneers Cheer Squad recently introduced some members from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver to cheerleading.

A cheerleading clinic for young people took place in Denver this week. The event was organised by the University of Denver Athletics and the Denver Pioneers Cheer Squad. Children from the Edna & John W. Mosley Boys & Girls Club got the chance to try cheerleading for the first time.

The clinic came about through a partnership between University of Denver Athletics and the Together for Colorado Toy Drive. CBS Colorado also supported the winter initiative, which benefits the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver. Participants learned about teamwork, enthusiasm, and the importance of staying active.

The cheerleading clinic introduced young participants to new skills while supporting a larger community effort. The toy drive will collect donations through multiple events and drop-off points. Organisers hope the initiatives will encourage fitness and provide joy to children during the holiday season.
