Deux Reinvents Cookie Dough With Nutrient-Packed, Guilt-Free Treats
A new kind of cookie dough is gaining attention for its health benefits. Deux, founded by entrepreneur Sabeena Ladha, offers enriched treats packed with vitamins and nutritious ingredients. Unlike traditional cookie dough, these products are gluten-free, vegan, and designed for guilt-free snacking.
The brand has also expanded its range with DRIP, a spreadable version that works like a healthy nut butter.
Sabeena Ladha first developed Deux while living in Dallas, Texas, before relocating to Los Angeles. Her goal was to create a snack that tasted indulgent but provided real nutritional value. The company's chocolate chip cookie dough, for example, contains as much zinc as three pounds of chickpeas. Another product, brownie butter, delivers the same Vitamin C as five oranges.
The ingredients list includes almond butter, oats, flaxseeds, and coconut sugar—all chosen for their health benefits. Deux avoids gluten and animal products, making it suitable for a wider range of diets. The company maintains an active online presence, selling directly through its website.
Ladha once appeared on Shark Tank, seeking $300,000 for a 10% stake in Deux. She turned down an offer from Robert Herjavec, who proposed $300,000 for 15% equity. Despite leaving without a deal, the brand has continued to grow, introducing new products like DRIP, a spreadable version meant for bread or crackers.
Deux remains a small but expanding business, focused on health-conscious consumers. Its products provide a way to enjoy cookie dough without sacrificing nutrition. The company's website serves as its primary sales channel, with no confirmed retail expansion beyond the US.
