**Boosting Employee Health: Sverdlovsk Oblast's "Good for the Enterprise" Initiative**

In the industrial heartland of Russia, Sverdlovsk Oblast, a strong focus on employee health is becoming a cornerstone of social and economic development. Companies and local authorities are launching initiatives to improve productivity, reduce absenteeism, and promote overall well-being.

One such project, known as "Good for the Enterprise," aims to enhance employee health through regular medical check-ups, health education, and access to fitness facilities. The initiative also aims to reduce workplace injuries and illnesses by implementing safety training and ergonomic improvements, and to promote mental well-being through stress management programs, counseling, and work-life balance initiatives.

The benefits of such projects are far-reaching. Companies report fewer sick days taken by employees, increased productivity, improved employee satisfaction, and lower healthcare costs. Preventative measures not only lead to healthier employees but also contribute to better retention and a more engaged workforce.

Digital solutions are also being utilised to manage employee health, a concept referred to as 'enterprise health design.' Tatyana Savinova, Deputy Governor and Minister of Health of Sverdlovsk Oblast, has emphasised the importance of investing in an employee's health as an investment in their family and the organisation's economy.

Recent data suggests that disease prevention has become a key state priority this year, with an 11% increase in coverage of adult population with preventive examinations and an expansion of dispensary observation by 8%. As a result, up to 40% of prevention costs could potentially be saved by synchronising employers' mandatory medical examinations with preventive examinations conducted by medical organisations.

The "Good for the Enterprise" project is already successfully implemented in Sverdlovsk Oblast, with over 114,500 employees undergoing medical examinations at their workplaces within six months of 2025. Regular examinations for reproductive health improvement have been introduced as well.

Tatyana Savinova, a key figure in driving these initiatives, participated in the session "Digitalization and Health: Technologies for Managing Employee Well-being" at Innoprom-2025, where she discussed the ideology of the trinity of health, which includes individual health, corporate health, and health of populated areas. She is prepared to collaborate with large, medium, and small businesses to implement effective cases and new developments in employee health.

These measures aim to preserve the health of working Ural residents, whose illnesses cause an annual loss of about 103 billion rubles to the regional economy. The success of initiatives like "Good for the Enterprise" could have significant implications for the future of employee health and productivity in Sverdlovsk Oblast and beyond.

  1. The "Good for the Enterprise" project in Sverdlovsk Oblast integrates science, particularly in the field of health and wellness, to optimize workplace wellness.
  2. As part of the initiative, mental health is also addressed through stress management programs, counseling, and work-life balance initiatives, which are key components of overall health and wellness.
  3. Furthermore, this project is not just about health but also aims to improve business finance by reducing healthcare costs and increasing productivity, making it a significant matter of concern for both public authorities and private enterprises.
  4. Technology plays a crucial role in managing employee health in Sverdlovsk Oblast, with digital solutions being utilized for preventative measures and enterprise health design, demonstrating the intersection of technology, business, and health and wellness.
