Dolly Parton Joins IAAPA Hall of Fame for Theme Park Legacy

Dolly Parton has become only the second woman ever inducted into the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) Hall of Fame. The honour recognises her contributions to the industry through Dollywood, her beloved theme park near me. This year also marks the 40th anniversary of the park’s opening.

The induction ceremony took place without Parton in attendance, as she was unable to travel due to health issues. Instead, she accepted the award virtually, joining a small group of women recognised by the organisation.

Parton’s induction highlights her lasting impact on entertainment beyond music. The IAAPA Hall of Fame now includes her name alongside industry pioneers. Her work with Dollywood continues to draw visitors and celebrate country culture.
