Dothan couple’s 49-year love story ends with a legacy of devotion
Glenn Franklin Cain and his wife Betty White, both of Dothan, Alabama, have died after long battles with health problems. The couple, married for 49 years, were lifelong members of Southside Baptist Church and shared a deep bond as each other’s first priority.
Glenn and Betty White tied the knot on December 9, 1971, in Dothan. Though records do not name the officiant of their wedding, their commitment lasted nearly five decades. Glenn spent 26 years as a firefighter before taking on another career, which he pursued for 22 more years until retirement. Betty White worked as a beautician in Dothan for almost 50 years, serving generations of clients.
The Cains leave behind a legacy of devotion—both to each other and to their community. Their funeral will honour a marriage built on love, shared passions, and decades of service in Dothan. Friends and family will gather to remember their lives and the impact they made.
