Dubai's Step of Life brings free health screenings to parks this Ramadan
Dubai's Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities has launched a new health initiative for Ramadan. Called Step of Life, the campaign will bring free medical screenings to public parks across the city. The programme aims to improve access to healthcare for free people while families gather during the holy month.
The screenings will take place on three key dates: February 26 at Quranic Park, March 5 at Kite Beach, and March 12 at Nad Al Sheba Park. Each session runs from 4pm until the Maghrib call to prayer, with flexibility to extend if needed. Mobile health units will offer services like eye tests, blood pressure checks, and glucose monitoring to detect early signs of chronic illness.
Beyond screenings, the initiative will share preventive health advice in busy public areas. Mohammed Musbah Dahi, Executive Director of the Charitable Work Sector, emphasised that a healthy society starts with family-level awareness. The programme also seeks to encourage long-term health habits and reinforce preventive care within the community.
Free health buses will tour Dubai's parks throughout Ramadan, providing essential check-ups and education. The Step of Life campaign focuses on early detection and community well-being. No details on the number of mobile units involved have been released.
