Evangeline Lilly's Brain Injury Forces Early Retirement After Beach Fall

Actress Evangeline Lilly has revealed she suffered a serious brain injury after fainting on a rocky beach. The fall left her with a concussion and lasting damage, prompting her to step back from acting. In June 2024, she announced her retirement from the industry to focus on recovery.

The incident happened when Lilly collapsed face-first onto a boulder. Medical scans later showed reduced function in nearly every part of her brain. Doctors confirmed the injury had caused significant damage.

Lilly is now using a range of supplements to aid her recovery. These include N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC), creatine, Resveratrol, Curcumin, Omega-3s, and Coenzyme Q10. She has acknowledged, however, that not everyone can access the same level of expert guidance or afford such treatments. While no specific medical treatments have been publicly detailed, Lilly plans to work closely with doctors. The goal is to identify the factors behind her injury and explore further recovery options.

Lilly's retirement comes as she prioritises her health following the accident. Brain scans confirm widespread reduced function, and her recovery process remains ongoing. She continues to seek medical advice while managing her condition with targeted supplements.
