Farmer School Opens Third Cohort in Arkhangelsk, Including Veterans
The 'Farmer School' project, a federal initiative by Rosselkhozbank since 2020, has opened its third cohort in Arkhangelsk. This year, six veterans from the special military operation have been selected to participate, marking a significant step in their social adaptation and an opportunity to gain comprehensive knowledge in agribusiness and create their own businesses.
The training, lasting 2.5 months, combines theoretical preparation and practical exercises. It includes lectures by professors, specialists, and invited experts, totaling 250 academic hours. Additionally, participants will intern at leading enterprises and farms in Yakutia. The director of the Yakutsk branch of Rosselkhozbank, Vasily Timofeev, highlighted the importance of expanding the project's geography to rural districts where the agricultural sector's main potential lies.
One of the selected veterans, Nikolai Petrov, hopes to use the knowledge gained to develop his parents' farm. Upon completion, students will defend their business projects and receive diplomas for professional retraining. Graduates also have the opportunity to participate in the federal 'Agrostartup' program and compete for grant support.
The 'Farmer School' project continues to empower individuals, this time including veterans, to contribute to the agricultural sector. With practical training and potential grant support, these participants aim to create their own businesses and drive progress in agribusiness.
