Food Inspection Results: WNB Factory receives a dismal 63 score; Paolino aces with a perfect 100
Paolino in Decatur Earns Perfect Health Inspection Score, While WNB Factory Struggles
In a recent health inspection, Paolino on Mead Road in Decatur's Oakhurst neighborhood scored a perfect 100, solidifying its reputation as a top-tier dining establishment. However, just a stone's throw away on North Druid Hills Road, the WNB Factory, a wings and burger joint, received an unsatisfactory score of 63 points and a "U" grade on September 8, 2025.
During the health inspection at Paolino, cooked rice was found to be at an unsafe temperature. Additionally, two boxes of single-use cups were stored on the floor. Despite these critical findings, the manager did not comment on the violations or the old score of 91 posted on the wall. The owner, however, could not be reached for comment.
In contrast, the WNB Factory's health inspection report revealed mold-like growth on uncooked veggie burgers. The owner has yet to respond to reporters' inquiries regarding the situation.
Paolino, which has been in business for five years, offers a variety of delicious dishes, including the Paolino salad, penne pesto with shrimp, four cheese ravioli with marinara, and zuppa di pesce. The establishment is also the proud winner of the coveted golden spatula award.
Despite the health inspection findings, a nice glass of wine is available to accompany meals at Paolino. The manager asked reporters to leave but did provide a phone number to the owner.
While Paolino continues to thrive, the WNB Factory is facing a significant challenge. The Georgia Department of Public Health has ordered the establishment to correct the violations and re-inspect the premises before it can reopen.
