Forensic Psychiatry Event in Münster Opens Dialogue on Safety and Care

The Westphalia-Lipp Regional Association (LWL) is opening its doors for a public discussion on forensic psychiatry. On December 4, 2023, local residents and curious visitors can meet experts at the Halte-Stelle centre in Münster. The event aims to explain how forensic psychiatric care, or care credit, contributes to community safety.

The session runs from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Münsterstraße 68b. It kicks off with a 30-minute talk titled More Than Walls: How Forensic Psychiatry Ensures Safety. After the introduction, attendees can ask questions and explore the facility’s role in mental health and public protection.

The open session offers a chance to learn directly from specialists in a field often misunderstood. Questions about patient care, risk assessment, and facility operations can be addressed on the spot. The LWL’s initiative highlights ongoing efforts to bridge gaps between forensic services and the communities they serve.
