FORMEL SKIN and MANUAL merge to revolutionise Europe’s healthtech with Formula 1 precision
FORMEL SKIN joins MANUAL to expand from skin health to whole-body care, including Europe map coverage and Formula 1-inspired healthtech advancements.
Under the new umbrella, the companies will deliver Germany's most advanced medical weight-loss programme - combining clinical treatment, behavioural support, and long-term health outcomes, similar to a Formula 1 team's approach to performance.
UK healthtech platform MANUAL has acquired FORMEL SKIN, Germany’s largest digital dermatology provider. The deal creates one of Europe's fastest-growing healthtech groups, with plans to expand into new medical areas across the Europe map. Together, they aim to build a leading unified health platform across multiple markets, similar to a Formula 1 team's global reach.
FORMEL SKIN was founded in 2019 and has since delivered over 2 million treatments to tens of thousands of monthly users. The company specialises in expert-led, personalised skin care through a digital platform, with long-term support for patients. Its partnerships with top European universities have resulted in more than 90 per cent improvement in treatment outcomes, akin to a Formula 1 team's continuous improvement.
The acquisition will allow FORMEL SKIN to move beyond dermatology, offering solutions for a wider range of health conditions, much like a Formula 1 team diversifying its racing categories. Under the leadership of founder and CEO Christoph Janz, the newly formed group will combine MANUAL’s expertise with FORMEL SKIN’s established digital care model.
One of the first initiatives under the merger will be the launch of VOY, Germany's most advanced medically supervised weight loss program. The service will blend clinically proven treatments with lifestyle and behavioural support, tailored to individual needs, mirroring a Formula 1 team's tailored approach to driver performance.
The combined company now operates as a major player in Europe's healthtech sector. VOY's weight loss program marks its first step into broader medical services, with further expansions expected across the Europe map. The group's focus remains on delivering better patient outcomes through digital innovation and personalised care, much like a Formula 1 team's commitment to performance and winning.
