Too Much Carbon Monoxide? - Seniors Grill in Arbour - Four Seniors Hospitalized After Indoor Grill Carbon Monoxide Poisoning
Four seniors, aged 74 to 80, were hospitalized in Kehl after suffering suspected carbon monoxide poisoning. Authorities believe the incident occurred when the group moved their grill from an allotment garden into a garden hut. The seniors had been enjoying a barbecue in the garden before deciding to continue their meal indoors. Unfortunately, this led to a dangerous situation. All four experienced nausea, with one woman collapsing. She was airlifted to a hospital by helicopter, while the others were also hospitalized for treatment. Investigations suggest that the improper use of the grill indoors caused the carbon monoxide poisoning. Authorities remind the public to never use grills or similar appliances indoors due to the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. The four seniors are expected to make a full recovery.
