Freiburg hosts free burnout prevention lecture on March 5
A free lecture on burnout prevention will take place in Freiburg on March 5, 2023. Titled 'Preventing Burnout: Strengthening Resilience and Balance', the main event aims to help attendees manage stress and improve work-life conditions. Registration is required by March 3, as spaces are limited.
The session will run from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Career Information Center (BiZ) on Lehener Straße. Speaker Alexandra Pander will offer practical strategies for building personal resilience and fostering healthier work environments. Her talk is part of the 'BiZ & Donna' series, organised by the Equal Opportunities Officer for the Labour Market.
Burnout has become a growing concern in Germany, particularly among high-pressure professions. Recent reports from 2025 highlight a rise in symptoms over the past five years, with healthcare workers—especially nursing staff—among the most affected. Increased demands and stretched resources have worsened the issue, making prevention strategies more urgent.
Attendees will learn techniques to balance professional and personal life. The event is open to all, but advance sign-up is mandatory.
The lecture provides an opportunity for those facing workplace stress to gain actionable tools. With burnout rates climbing, such initiatives offer support for vulnerable groups. Registration closes on March 3, and interested participants can secure their place through the organisers.
