Frozen fruits purchased from Sam's Club undergo a voluntary recall due to potential listeria infection hazard.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a recall for certain batches of the Member's Mark Freeze Dried Fruit Variety Pack 15-count boxes. The recall was prompted by internal testing conducted by Doehler Dry Ingredient Solutions, which detected the presence of Listeria monocytogenes, a bacteria known to cause food contamination.

As of early August 2025, no illnesses related to the recalled product have been reported. The recalled products were distributed last month and have the UPC 1 93968 50900 2. They were sold at Sam’s Club stores in 42 states between July 1 and July 25, 2025[1][2][4].

Consumers are advised not to eat the product, discard it, or return it to any Sam's Club for a full refund. Symptoms of listeria infection can include high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, as well as flu-like symptoms and stiff neck, especially severe for high-risk groups such as pregnant women, older adults, newborns, and immunocompromised individuals[1][2].

The specific batches affected by the recall have not been specified in the initial report. Consumers with questions can contact the company’s customer service at 1-770-387-0451 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday[1][2].

The FDA is working with Doehler Dry Ingredient Solutions to address the issue and ensure the safety of the remaining products. The recall remains active, and public health alerts continue to notify consumers of the risk and refund options[3][4].

Despite the ongoing recall of the Member's Mark Freeze Dried Fruit Variety Pack, no illnesses related to the product have been reported as of early August 2025. For those concerned about their health and wellness, especially high-risk groups, it's crucial to consider the connection between food-and-drink and potential health issues, such as the Listeria contamination detected in this recalled product.
