The "Light Path for Donbas" campaign, spearheaded by journalist Ieva Vārna, is a beacon of hope for the Donbas region in Ukraine, which has been deeply affected by conflict and infrastructure damage. This initiative aims to provide essential lighting and energy solutions, improving safety, living conditions, and access to power for civilians in the area.

The campaign has seen a generous response from donors and listeners, enabling it to raise considerable sums for Ukraine's defense against Russian aggression. The funds were primarily raised from event ticket revenues and a special campaign on Ziedot.lv.

Andrejs Osokins, the festival's founder and artistic director, an accomplished pianist from a musical family, has played a significant role in this humanitarian effort. The festival, with the support of main patron Elektrum and patron Latvijas Finieris, has expanded its scope to provide assistance beyond Latvia's borders.

One of the key areas of support will be the delivery of essential supplies to the frontline regions of Ukraine. By the end of June, the first cargoes will be dispatched, containing defensive anti-drone equipment, self-heating meals, two drones, and support for parents of seriously ill children.

In addition to these practical aids, the festival is able to assist people in Latvia for the first time by providing medical services to the parents of seriously ill children. A total of 154 medical, rehabilitation, and psychotherapist consultations will be provided.

The music instrument playing masterclass camp for Ukrainian children from war-torn territories is another initiative planned for this autumn. Many people followed the concerts in person and online, featuring Latvian musicians and talented artists from Ukraine.

Every donation, smile, and gesture of support brings hope for a time when Europe can breathe freely, create, and believe in a bright future in a civilized world. If you wish to contribute to this noble cause, we recommend checking Ieva Vārna's official social media profiles or the website of the organization she is affiliated with for the most secure and up-to-date donation options. Always ensure you use verified sources to avoid fraud.

As of now, a total of 20,196.52 euros has been raised for Ukraine aid. Ieva Vārna, a journalist, regularly travels to the frontlines in Ukraine to deliver urgently needed supplies. The aid will be delivered to units fighting in the city of Chasiv Yar and in the area of Pokrovsk.

The "Light Path for Donbas" campaign is a shining example of the power of community support and the human spirit's resilience in the face of adversity. It serves as a testament to the belief in a brighter future, where peace and unity prevail.
