Sheridan Sundowner Lions Club Launches Peach Sale for Children's Vision Care

The Sheridan Sundowner Lions Club is currently conducting a peach sale to raise funds for their mission of "vision for all." The funds raised from this sale will support children's vision care, providing them with essential screenings, medical care, eyeglasses, and even vision surgeries for those in need.

The sale includes 20-pound boxes of peaches, priced at $40 per box. Unfortunately, due to a hailstorm at Noland Orchards in Palisade, Colorado, pears will not be available this year.

The order deadline for the peach sale is Aug. 14. To place an order, reach out to the Sheridan Sundowner Lions Club through their contact information, which is often available in local community bulletins, Lions Club district websites, or local event flyers.

When contacting the club, specify the quantity of 20-pound boxes of peaches you want, and arrange your payment method (cash, check, or electronic payment depending on their system). Confirm delivery or pickup details to complete your order.

For those who qualify, the Sundowner Lions Club also helps provide eyeglasses for children. The club partners with hospitals and clinics to provide vision care and distributes medicine as part of their efforts.

Recently, members Jim Rapp, Eric Kulvinska, and Bill Rathburn made an appearance on Public Pulse to discuss the club's activities and mission. Rathburn reported that this year's peach sale is especially important due to the hailstorm that affected Noland Orchards.

The Sundowner Lions Club is also involved in public education about vision care, working to raise awareness and promote the importance of good vision for all.
