More than half of people find life more stressful than before - Germans report rising stress levels over the past 20 years

A new survey reveals that many adults in Germany feel life has become more stressful over the past two decades. Nearly three in five respondents say their stress levels have risen compared to 15 or 20 years ago, indicating a growing need for stress management strategies. The findings also highlight differences between age groups in how they perceive stress today, with middle-aged adults being particularly affected. The survey shows that 57% of participants believe their stress has increased over time, while 40% think people discuss stress more openly now than in previous years, suggesting a shift in societal attitudes towards stress management.
