'Ghost Adventures' Episode Delayed by Real-Life Crime to Finally Air
A special Christmas Eve episode of Ghost Adventures has faced unexpected delays. Originally set to air in May 2025, the show was postponed after its guest, true-crime author Jillian Lauren, became entangled in a legal case of her own. The episode centres on the ashes of Samuel Little, America’s most prolific serial killer, and their alleged supernatural impact on Zak Bagans’ Haunted Museum in Las Vegas.
The episode, titled Midnight at the Museum, was filmed in November 2024. It examines claims of paranormal activity reported by Zak Bagans and his staff after Samuel Little’s ashes were added to the museum’s collection in September that year. Little, confirmed by the FBI to have confessed to 93 murders, died in prison in 2020. His cremated remains and prison belongings—including hand-drawn portraits of his victims—were inherited by Jillian Lauren, who later donated them to the museum.
In April 2025, Lauren made headlines for a violent confrontation with Los Angeles police. She was initially charged with attempted murder of a peace officer and assault. Prosecutors later reduced the charges to assault and negligent discharge of a firearm. A judge granted her a diversion programme for mental health treatment, allowing her to avoid prison. The legal trouble led to the postponement of the *Ghost Adventures* episode. Producers had planned to feature Lauren discussing her connection to Little’s remains and the eerie events linked to them. No new air date has been announced.
The delayed episode leaves fans waiting to see the museum’s claims of supernatural disturbances tied to Little’s ashes. Lauren’s legal resolution means she avoids imprisonment, though her involvement in the show remains uncertain. The case also highlights the unexpected ways true-crime stories can intersect with real-life events.
