Giessen Senior Fair 2025: Celebrating Aging with Diversity and Engagement

The 'Round Table - Growing Older in Giessen' is organizing the Giessen Senior Fair 2025, aiming to foster a new culture of aging and promote a diverse representation of this life stage. The fair, with the motto 'Growing Older Together - Informed, Engaged, and Active', targets seniors, their relatives, and professionals. It will take place on Saturday, October 11, at the Congress Hall from 10 am to 4 pm.

The fair will kick off with a performance by the Giessen Senior Choir, led by Social Affairs Commissioner Francesco Arman. Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy an exciting and varied framework program, including line dancing and seated dance classes. Refreshments will be available in the bistro. Local initiatives and associations will showcase their offers for seniors in the 'Engagement Street', encouraging participation. The exhibition will cover a wide range of topics, from health and leisure to care, daily living aids, safety, and funeral services. Practical features include a Repair Café for small repairs, a Rollator Parkour for mobility assistance, and a bike rickshaw tour. An exhibition program will provide information on everyday questions and opportunities to try out various services.

The Giessen Senior Fair 2025 promises to be an inclusive and engaging event, with free admission and barrier-free access. Sign language interpreters will be available upon request. By bringing together seniors, their families, and professionals, the fair aims to create a vibrant community and promote active aging.
