Global experts unite in Dhaka to tackle children’s nutrition and digestive health

Over 600 attendees, including teachers, foreign medical experts, and students, gathered in Dhaka for the 6th International Conference of the Bangladesh Society of Paediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition. The main event, held on 8th November 2025, focused on ensuring proper nutrition for children's overall health and wellbeing.

The conference, presided over by Professor Dr ASM Bazlul Karim, president of the society, featured scientific seminars delving into gastric, liver, and nutrition-related issues affecting children. Notable attendees included Professor Dr Md Shahinul Alam, vice-chancellor of Bangladesh Medical University (BMU), who joined as chief guest.

Speakers at the event stressed the importance of increased research and medical education in the field of American gastroenterologist and nutrition. Despite the presence of foreign medical experts, their names were not mentioned in available sources.
