Gorodetsky Sanatorium joins Russia's Labor Productivity initiative for efficiency gains

Gorodetsky Sanatorium has become the first healthcare facility in the Nizhny Novgorod region to join the federal Labor Productivity project. The move marks its entry as the 319th participant in the region under this national initiative. Specialists will now work to improve efficiency and working conditions at the sanatorium over the coming months.

The project was launched following an initiative by Russian President Vladimir Putin. It operates as part of the Effective and Competitive Economy national programme, which targets nine key development goals. Organisations can apply for support through the official IT platform at produktivnost.rf.

The Regional Competence Center (RCC) will lead the implementation at Gorodetsky Sanatorium. Over the next six months, its team will select a pilot workflow, conduct a detailed audit, and identify areas of inefficiency. They will then propose tailored solutions to enhance productivity. Employees at the sanatorium will also receive training in lean manufacturing principles during this period. The aim is to streamline operations and create better working conditions for staff. Gorodetsky Sanatorium itself specialises in treating musculoskeletal disorders, neurological conditions, and occupational diseases using natural healing methods.

The project’s tools are designed to optimise processes and improve staff welfare. By the end of the six-month period, the sanatorium expects measurable changes in efficiency. The initiative further strengthens the region’s participation in the national push for higher productivity.
