Goslar Opens Free Storytelling Café for Unemployed Jobseekers in 2026
Goslar is launching a free storytelling café for people receiving unemployment benefits. The sessions will run on eight Mondays in 2026, offering a space to share experiences and discuss daily challenges. Organisers aim to create a supportive environment for jobseekers while promoting well-being and connection. The café will take place at the Goslar District Office on Klubgartenstraße 6. Meetings are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on April 13, April 27, May 11, June 1, June 15, June 29, August 10, and September 21. Coffee, tea, and cold drinks will be provided at no cost.
Each session will include discussions on health and well-being, along with light exercises for the body and mind. Participants can explore the challenges of unemployment in a relaxed setting. The café also encourages sharing personal stories and gaining new perspectives. No registration is required, though organisers recommend signing up in advance. Newcomers can join at any time, and all activities are free. The initiative is part of the nationwide *teamw()rk für Gesundheit und Arbeit* program, funded by the GKV-Bündnis für Gesundheit at around 230 locations across Germany. Further details are available on the Goslar District Adult Education Center's website.
The storytelling café provides a regular meeting point for jobseekers in Goslar. It combines social support with practical advice on health and employment challenges. Participation remains open to all, with no fees or long-term commitments required.
