Government agency GovCIO plans to acquire SoldierPoint Digital Health, aiming to expand digital health services for the VA.
In a significant move, GovCIO, a leading provider of technology solutions to the federal government, has agreed to acquire SoldierPoint Digital Health from Iron Bow Technologies. The transaction, expected to close in the third quarter, will bring SoldierPoint's nearly 300 employees and over $200 million in annual revenue under GovCIO's umbrella.
Currently, SoldierPoint holds the $2 billion, seven-year Connected Care Integrated Network (CCIN) contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This contract enables over 4 million veterans to access telehealth services. Both GovCIO executives, Jim Brabston, CEO, and Kristin Gill, president of GovCIO's VETS sector, have expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity to work with SoldierPoint's team and offer additional care solutions for veterans.
Brabston expressed his excitement about welcoming SoldierPoint to the company, while Gill looks forward to working directly with veterans and offering top-of-the-line healthcare remotely. GovCIO also plans to leverage its VA experience and emerging AI technologies to enhance the CCIN contract.
However, at the moment, there is no publicly available detailed information about planned enhancements for the CCIN contract after GovCIO's acquisition of SoldierPoint Digital Health. It may be necessary to consult official press releases from the VA, GovCIO, or SoldierPoint Digital Health or check industry-specific news sources that cover government IT contracts more thoroughly for more information on this matter.
The acquisition is pending regulatory approvals. Once completed, the expanded GovCIO will have more than 3,600 employees and over $3 billion in combined revenue, further solidifying its position as a major player in the federal technology sector.
