Halal Fitness Studio 954 Delayed in Switzerland Amid High Demand

The opening of the first Halal fitness studio in Switzerland, 954 in Dietikon ZH, has been delayed due to missing formal documents. The Dietikon Building Office (Bauamt Dietikon) is responsible for approving the project, and the exact opening date remains unclear. Despite this setback, the studio has garnered significant interest, with half of its memberships already taken.

The 954 studio aims to cater to Muslim women, providing a protected environment with separate training times for men and women, a prayer room, and Halal snacks. The operators, three brothers - Emre, Tolga, and Berke Argon - planned to open the 'exclusive boutique' studio on Monday, focusing on peace and privacy. However, the building authority stopped the opening due to unnotified renovations and missing documents, which need to be completed and reviewed for approval.

Many women have reported being excluded from other fitness studios due to their headscarf, making the 954 studio's inclusive approach appealing. Despite the delay, the studio has seen high demand, with half of its memberships already secured.
