Heidelberg University's 'Univitality Health Week' Focuses on Cardiovascular Health

Heidelberg University is hosting 'Univitality Health Week' from 29th September to 2nd October 2025, focusing on heart health. The event offers a mix of lectures, health tips, physical activities, and screenings for students and employees.

Kicking off the week is an online lunchtalk by Janik Meyer, titled 'Foundations of Heart Health', on 29th September at 11:30 AM. Throughout the week, Prof. Dr. Simon Steib will discuss 'Exercise as Medicine' on 30th September, while nutrition consultant Rebecca Steiner will delve into 'Nutrition for Heart and Circulation' on 1st October, both at 11:30 AM.

Mona Henz will lead a session called 'Heart Calm Through Relaxation' on 2nd October at 11:30 AM. Daily CPR training sessions are available from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Zeughaus-Mensa in the Marstall. A daily heart health screening is offered from 8 AM to 5 PM at three university locations.

Physical activities include Pilates, full-body workouts, rope skipping, guided walks, and beginner's running courses. Registration for these activities and the event can be found on the university's website.

The 'Univitality Health Week' aims to raise awareness about heart health and provide practical ways to maintain it. With a variety of lectures, physical activities, and health screenings, the event caters to different interests and needs. The university encourages all students and employees to participate and prioritize their heart health.
