Man Under Investigation for Drunk Driving in Hildesheim
A criminal investigation was initiated in Hildesheim, Germany, after a suspicious incident involving a driver with a high blood alcohol level. The incident occurred near a liquor store on Ortshaüser Straße around 17:00 hours.
According to reports, the driver, a 60-year-old man, was repeatedly turning off his vehicle in the area of the liquor store. Witnesses provided a detailed description and the license plate number of the vehicle, which aided the police in their investigation.
Upon arrival at the scene, the Bad Salzdetfurth Police conducted a breathalyzer test, which revealed a blood alcohol level of nearly 4.5 per mille. Despite the immediate dispatch, the vehicle could not be found at the scene.
The man was later located at his residence in Bockenem. He was taken to a general hospital in Hildesheim for further examination, and a blood sample was taken from him at the hospital. The name of the man is not publicly disclosed.
The man was admitted as an inpatient at the hospital, and a doctor examined him. His driver's license was confiscated, and the Police Department Hildesheim is handling further inquiries.
