In Natalinsk, medical professionals successfully rescued an individual from a life-threatening stroke incident.

In the quaint village of Nataliinsk, Sverdlovsk, a man named Yevgeny miraculously recovered from a stroke. Amidst his daily chores with his wife, he suddenly fell ill, losing mobility, speech, and experiencing confusion. This incident sheds light on the importance of modern technology and swift medical intervention, growing in the Sverdlovsk region due to the national project "Longevity and Active Aging," as reported by the regional health ministry press service.

A quick-response medical team whisked the patient away to the Krasnouralsk District Hospital. There, a neurologist scrutinized him, and he underwent a CT scan of his brain.

Once evaluated, the patient was urgently moved to the radiology operating room. Experts quickly inserted a stent and removed the clot, ensuring blood flow to both brain hemispheres was restored. Three months post-stroke, the patient made a full recovery: his speech and movement returned, and he, himself, felt as if he'd never been sick.

"The patient's admission was critical, immediate action was essential. Both hemispheres of the brain were at risk, his life hung in the balance. To witness him, active and beaming with joy today, is incredibly fulfilling. This astonishing outcome was achieved through the coordinated efforts of the entire team," affirmed Bakhtiyar Mursaliyev, head of the neurological department at Krasnouralsk District Hospital.

This successful outcome was made feasible by the introduction of advanced equipment, even in small settlements like this.

"Everyone knows that time is of the essence in a stroke. So, let me remind you: if you or your loved ones show symptoms of a stroke - speech impairment, facial inequality, sudden headache, numbness in any part of the body - seek medical help immediately. The sooner treatment begins, the better the chances of a complete recovery. Now, we can offer the highest quality care to everyone," added Airat Khavyev, head of the radiology and surgery department at Krasnouralsk RB.

Previously, "Oblaestnaya Gazeta" reported that Perm doctors had triumphantly restored a young patient to her feet, thanks to advanced surgical procedures.

Medical advancements made under the "Longevity and Active Aging" project significantly impact the Sverdlovsk region, offering improved emergency care, specialized treatments, and tailored rehabilitation services for stroke patients. These advancements line up with the larger goals of the project - promoting active and healthy longevity, reducing the burden of age-related illnesses, and extending healthy life expectancy. In essence, the project aims to improve healthcare services regionally, thereby enhancing stroke care outcomes for the elderly population, thereby boosting overall quality of life.
