Invitation extended for agricultural workers in the Lippe district to participate in a new study on their jobs

In a groundbreaking move, the Industrial Union of Construction, Agriculture, and Environment (IG BAU Ostwestfalen-Lippe) has announced a nationwide online survey on working conditions, wages, workloads, and job satisfaction in the animal breeding or husbandry sector in the Lippe district. The survey, supported by the Robert Bosch Foundation, aims to collect data on these aspects for the first time.

Sabine Katzsche-Döring, a representative from IG BAU Ostwestfalen-Lippe, emphasises that working with animals is not a typical nine-to-five job. The survey will pay particular attention to whether employees have enough time for adequate animal care or if work pressure is too high, with a focus on the agriculture sector's seven-day workweek.

The study may provide insights into the day-to-day risks and safety concerns faced by employees in the animal breeding or husbandry sector in the Lippe district. Topics such as workplace safety, working hours, and daily risk management in barns, including issues like hoof kicks and dust exposure, will be examined.

The survey is open to those working in animal breeding or husbandry in the Lippe district and can be completed on a smartphone, tablet, or computer. It takes approximately 15 minutes to complete and is anonymous. Participants' personal information is not required for participation in the survey.

The union hopes that the situation in the stables of the Lippe district will be reflected in the investigation. The survey is available at www.peco-ev.de/general/online-survey-among-employees-in-animal-husbandry-and-breeding. The deadline for participation in the survey is September 14.

The study's findings may help identify potential issues related to work pressure and animal care in the Lippe district's stables, particularly in the agriculture sector. It may contribute to a better understanding of the challenges faced by employees in the animal breeding or husbandry sector in the Lippe district, including issues related to work pressure and animal care.

The survey delves into the challenges faced by employees in the agriculture sector, focusing on work pressure and adequate animal care, which are key aspects of their health-and-wellness. The study also aims to shed light on potential risks and safety concerns, such as those related to hoof kicks and dust exposure, as these are critical factors in the food production process.
