Johnson County Healthcare Center's Busy Summer and Upcoming Flu Shot Clinics

The Johnson County Healthcare Center has been a bustling hub of activity in recent months, with the walk-in clinic seeing an increase in patients. According to Clinic Director Heidi Huntley, a total of 1,432 clinic visits were recorded in July 2025, marking a significant jump from the 1,368 visits recorded in July 2024.

One of the main reasons for the surge in visits could be the high number of local athletes seeking sports physicals. A total of 150 athletes were seen for sports physicals at the walk-in clinic, a testament to the centre's commitment to the local community's health and well-being.

As autumn approaches, the centre is gearing up for drive-through flu shot clinics. Tentatively scheduled for mid-September through October, these clinics aim to make it as convenient as possible for residents to get their flu shots. The centre plans to offer three drive-up clinics, providing both Influenza and COVID shots, depending on availability from their supplier.

However, there is currently no information available about the number of drive-through vaccination clinic appointments planned by the Johnson County Healthcare Center for September 2025. The data source for this number could not be determined at the time of writing.

The centre has also undergone some changes, with the final portion of construction for the clinic being completed on August 18. The clinic moved into their newly-remodeled hallway, ready to continue providing top-notch healthcare services to the community.

In addition to the increased number of visits and the upcoming flu shot clinics, the centre also welcomed 40 newly-established patients in July 2025. In the walk-in clinic, 385 patients were seen in July 2025, compared to 352 in July 2024, further highlighting the centre's growing popularity.

The Johnson County Healthcare Center continues to be a vital resource for the community, offering a wide range of healthcare services and striving to make healthcare accessible and convenient for all.
