"I'm also training with the destroyed knee" - Jochen Schweizer faces major knee surgery before Christmas recovery

Adventurer Jochen Schweizer, 68, is preparing for knee surgery on November 24. He aims to spend the holidays at home after rehabilitation at Lake Thiersee.

Schweizer has postponed his original surgery date to focus on his solar power project. He is now ready for the procedure, which involves inserting long titanium rods into his upper and lower leg to anchor a new artificial knee. Despite the pain from his shattered knee, Schweizer continues daily gym sessions to prepare his body for the surgery.

The surgery, scheduled for Munich, comes after Schweizer's knee prosthesis, which he has relied on since 1984, broke and shifted by 45 degrees. Although the search results do not provide information about the surgeon, Schweizer is determined to attend the grand opening of his solar-powered event venue on January 21, even if it means being there on crutches.

Jochen Schweizer is set to undergo knee surgery on November 24, with an expected recovery time of two months. After rehabilitation at Lake Thiersee, he hopes to spend Christmas at home and attend the grand opening of his solar-powered event venue in January.
