Kazakh and Russian flour fails iron and zinc fortification tests

The inspection targeted flour from Kazakh and Russian suppliers. Out of the 118 samples, seven from Kazakhstan and two from Russia did not comply with fortification rules. These products lacked the required amounts of iron and zinc.

The enforcement measures aim to ensure compliance with fortification laws. The penalties follow a pattern of testing and regulatory oversight to protect consumers. Authorities have not released further details on the fines or the companies affected.
