Krasnoyarsk’s Post-Holiday Guide to Gentle Digestion and Recovery
After the New Year celebrations, health authorities in Krasnoyarsk Territory have shared advice on easing digestion and restoring balance. Their recommendations focus on simple foods and drinks to help the body recover from festive excesses.
The guidance highlights traditional soups, hydrating fluids, and mindful water intake as key steps for a smoother start to the year.
Soups like borscht, shchi, solyanka, and ukha are suggested for the first few days of January. These dishes, rich in nutrients and fluids, are believed to aid digestion and replenish lost minerals. Similar traditions exist elsewhere, such as lentil soup in Germany or fish-based broths in Czechia, though no specific manufacturers were mentioned in the advice.
For drinks, plain water remains the top recommendation. Authorities also propose unsweetened tea or 100% fruit juice without added sugar as alternatives. Mineral water can be included but should be consumed in small amounts to prevent an overload of minerals.
Rospotrebnadzor, the regional health watchdog, stressed the importance of listening to the body’s thirst cues. They advised adjusting water intake based on individual needs rather than following fixed amounts.
The guidance aims to help people recover after heavy holiday meals. By choosing light, fluid-rich foods and staying hydrated, the body can more easily readjust. Officials remind residents that simple, balanced choices often work best for post-celebration recovery.
