Laguna Treatment Center hires trauma expert to expand equine and yoga therapies
Laguna Treatment Center has welcomed Tanya L. Hauer, MSW, ACSW, to its clinical team. The centre specialises in addiction recovery and trauma-informed therapies. Hauer’s appointment aims to strengthen its existing equine and yoga therapy programmes.
Hauer brings expertise as an EAGALA-certified equine-assisted psychotherapy practitioner and a certified yoga instructor. Her background includes trauma-informed care, nervous system regulation, and experiential therapies. These skills align with Laguna Treatment Center’s focus on holistic recovery methods.
The centre already partners with Brave Grace to provide equine-assisted psychotherapy. Hauer will now support and expand these services. Her role will involve integrating equine and yoga therapies into patient treatment plans.
Beyond professional qualifications, Hauer’s personal experience in long-term recovery adds depth to her clinical approach. This firsthand perspective is expected to enhance the care provided to clients at the facility.
Hauer’s arrival bolsters Laguna Treatment Center’s therapeutic offerings. Her combined experience in equine therapy, yoga, and trauma care will directly benefit patients. The centre continues to focus on evidence-based, experiential treatments for recovery.
