Landshut Hospital's Breast Center Earns Top Recognition
Landshut Hospital's breast cancer center has received top recognition. It's one of just 51 regional hospitals in Bavaria and seven from Lower Bavaria to be awarded in the 'Good Clinics for Me' 2025/2026 list by Stern magazine. The center, led by Dr. Ingo Bauerfeind, offers reconstructive breast operations and has been certified by the German Cancer Society.
The breast cancer center at Landshut Hospital has been praised for its excellent reputation and services. It's not the only department to receive accolades. The Schlossklinik Rottenburg has been recommended for its geriatrics department, focusing on nutritional, cognitive, and diabetes disorders in older patients.
The awards are based on a rigorous selection process. Clinics are evaluated on their medical reputation, patient reviews, quality reports, certifications, and hygiene information. Landshut Hospital and its affiliate in Achdorf have also been recognized for their certified medical quality and participation in the Clean Hands action.
Landshut Hospital, Landshut-Achdorf Hospital, and Vilsbiburg Hospital have all been recommended in the current Stern special edition. The breast cancer center's certification by the German Cancer Society and its reconstructive surgery offerings further cement its reputation as a leading healthcare provider in the region for breast cancer treatment.
