Admitted to Hospital with Severe Headache - Liev Schreiber hospitalized after severe headaches trigger memory loss again
Actor Liev Schreiber, 58, was recently hospitalised in New York City after suffering from severe headaches. Doctors later diagnosed him with transient global amnesia, a condition he has experienced before during a Broadway performance.
Schreiber was taken to hospital when the headaches became unbearable. Despite the pain, he remained able to speak and move normally. His doctor ordered an immediate evaluation and an overnight stay for further tests.
An MRI scan ruled out a brain haemorrhage, confirming the diagnosis of transient global amnesia. This was not the first time the actor had faced such symptoms. In April 2024, during a Broadway run of Doubt: A Parable, he forgot his lines on stage and struggled to recall his co-star’s name backstage. At the time, a severe headache was blamed for the temporary memory loss.
No reports suggest Schreiber sought medical attention during that earlier incident. However, his recent hospitalisation confirms a recurring issue with memory disruption linked to headaches.
The actor's condition has been identified as transient global amnesia, with no lasting damage detected. His medical team continues to monitor the situation. Schreiber's history of severe headaches, including past on-stage incidents, remains under observation.
