Loveland Police Offer Free Narcan to Fight Opioid Overdoses in the Community

Loveland Police Department has initiated a campaign to tackle opioid overdoses. A Narcan (naloxone) dispenser is now situated in the department's main entrance at 810 E. 10th Street. The dispenser offers free, anonymous access to naloxone, an opioid overdose reversal medication.

Community members can approach the dispenser, collect a box of naloxone, and depart without any inquiries. This collaborative effort involves the Loveland Police Department, SummitStone Health Partners, and drug task force detectives. It signifies the department's dedication to community welfare and response to the escalating threat of fentanyl and other hazardous narcotics.

The department urges community members to visit the lobby to obtain Narcan and learn more about overdose prevention resources. The dispenser aims to make life-saving medication accessible to anyone who might encounter an overdose scenario.

The Narcan dispenser at Loveland Police Department is a notable stride in combating opioid overdoses. It provides free, anonymous access to naloxone, enabling community members to potentially save lives. This initiative underscores the department's commitment to community safety and well-being.
