MAC Group backs Ed Space as 2026 Charity of the Year for mental health

A Douglas-based financial planning firm has chosen Ed Space as its Charity of the Year for 2026. The partnership will focus on raising mental health awareness and supporting wellbeing initiatives across the Isle of Man. MAC Group plans to back the charity through fundraising, campaigns, and staff-led activities.

Ed Space was founded last year to change how people discuss mental health. The charity promotes positive wellbeing by building confidence, resilience, and shared experiences.

MAC Group has a history of supporting local causes. In 2025, the company raised £16,000 for dementia charity Forget Me Not through various fundraising efforts. Now, it aims to help Ed Space expand its programmes and reach more people on the island.

Ann Zachorecki, broking manager at MAC Group, praised Ed Space’s work and pledged to strengthen its initiatives. Shirley Cain from Ed Space thanked the firm for its support, highlighting the value of local business engagement in mental health advocacy.

The collaboration will see MAC Group and Ed Space working together throughout 2026. Fundraising events and awareness campaigns will form the core of their efforts. The goal is to extend mental health support and resources across the Isle of Man.
