Magadan Region launches first Omega-3 study on children’s development
A new study in the Magadan Region will explore how Omega-3 supplements affect children’s development. This marks the first trial of its kind in the area, focusing on fish oil’s potential benefits. The research will involve children of different ages over a three-month period.
The idea for the study came from Pyotr Golubovsky, a regional lawmaker and director of the Pacific Fisheries Company. He suggested adding Omega-3 supplements to local children’s diets to support their health. The supplements will be sourced from the Omega-Si production plant.
The study will run for three months, with scientists tracking its effects on participants. If successful, the findings could influence future dietary recommendations for children in the region. The trial represents a direct effort to link nutrition with improved development outcomes.
