Maggie Doyne's Journey: From Babysitting to Transforming Lives in Nepal

Maggie Doyne, a social entrepreneur, has been recognised internationally for her work caring for and educating vulnerable children in rural Nepal. She co-founded the BlinkNow Foundation, which provides a safe home, education, and healthcare to over 90 children. Doyne and her husband, Jeremy Power Regimbal, live in Nepal with their biological children and the children they support.

Doyne's journey began with a plot of land bought with her babysitting money. Today, it's a thriving Children's Village, with a new facility set to open this year. Her organisation includes a school that has served 1,000 students, a home for at-risk girls, a food and farming program, and a medical clinic. Doyne's message is that anyone can make a difference through small acts.

In 2015, Doyne and Regimbal directed 'Between the Mountain and the Sky,' a documentary highlighting her work. The same year, she was named CNN Hero of the Year. Despite the loss of her son, Ravi, in 2015, Doyne continues to care for and support her 93 children, fostering their long-term growth and self-sufficiency.

Maggie Doyne's dedication to improving the lives of vulnerable children in Nepal has earned her numerous awards. Her organisation, BlinkNow Foundation, is a global model for poverty alleviation, providing immediate needs and long-term support to over 90 children.
