Man in Socks and Shorts Causes Disturbance, Threatens Police in Oberriexingen
A 35-year-old man, later taken to a psychiatric facility, caused a disturbance in Oberriexingen on Saturday evening around 10:30 PM. The man, dressed only in socks and shorts, initially asked witnesses to call the police. The situation escalated when the man, armed with broken glass bottles, threatened officers who arrived at the scene. He had earlier damaged the entrance door of the grocery store on Albertstraße. Police used pepper spray and a police dog to subdue the man, who sustained minor injuries. The extent of property damage is still unknown. The man, not identified by name in available reports, was taken to a psychiatric facility by ambulance. Police operations concluded with no further incidents.
