Marc Márquez tests his limits in first motorcycle session since surgery

Marc Márquez is stepping up his recovery after a right-arm injury sidelined him last October. The six-time MotoGP champion has returned to training, testing his skills on two wheels for the first time since surgery. His focus is now on regaining full strength before his planned comeback to racing.

Márquez suffered a scapula fracture in a crash with Marco Bezzecchi on October 5, 2025. Since then, he has undergone rehabilitation and avoided high-impact training until recently. His first motorcycle test took place at the Alcarràs circuit, where he rode a modified Ducati cross bicycle.

During the session, he practised drifting through corners, assessing his control and confidence. Alongside bicycle testing, Márquez has turned to go-karting to rebuild fitness. The kart sessions specifically target his injured shoulders and arms, helping him regain strength without excessive strain. For now, he trains alone or with his team, concentrating on gradual progress. No dedicated trainer has been named, as the focus remains on bicycle adaptation and physical recovery.

The tests in Alcarràs mark Márquez’s first real steps back on a motorcycle since his operation. His combination of bicycle drills and go-kart work aims to restore his racing form. Fans will watch closely as he prepares for a full return to MotoGP competition.
