In the Krasnodar region, a unique initiative called the "Mom-Entrepreneur" program is helping women balance their roles as mothers and entrepreneurs. This program aims to create sustainable businesses, generate new jobs, and foster socially-oriented entrepreneurship in the region.
The latest season of the program included training, project development, and pitch defense. A total of 29 women participated in the free training course, with 239 applications submitted from mothers of underage children. Over five days, the participants attended lectures, workshops, masterclasses, practical exercises, networking events, and visited successful "mom-entrepreneurs."
One of the participants, Elena Krokhmal, won the best regional project with her idea for a center for child development. Another participant, Inna Dontsova, launched a project creating matryoshka dolls and modern outfits with elements of Russian folk style. Inna is planning to use a grant for the purchase of a 3D printer to create bags and umbrella covers with folk themes.
Anna Lysak is starting a business that creates clothing for people with reduced mobility or disabilities, using zippers and Velcro for easy dressing. She plans to take an individual approach to each client based on her involvement with an organization for people with disabilities.
Tatyana Shumilova is creating a fitodizain studio to provide greening solutions for businesses and private individuals. She has already developed a collection of clothing and started creating image matryoshka dolls, each hand-painted. Tatyana's studio aims to help create a brand and image for companies and provide an aesthetically pleasing atmosphere.
Marina Milenko is planning to open an aerial gymnastics school in Goryachy Klyuch and has already secured a 100 sq. meter hall for classes. She plans to buy a mobile stage, a portable ring, rent a gym with higher ceilings, hire four staff members, and expand her business.
The "Mom-Entrepreneur" program provides tailored business training, mentoring, networking opportunities, and flexible resources designed to accommodate the demands of parenting alongside entrepreneurship. These programs often focus on helping women develop business skills, access funding, and create support communities that understand maternal responsibilities.
Despite limited information available about the specific methods and offerings of the Krasnodar-based program, it is clear that it serves as a platform for unlocking the entrepreneurial potential of women in Kuban. The Krasnodar Krai Department of Information Policy encourages following important news on Telegram, VKontakte, "Classmates", and YouTube for updates on the program and other initiatives supporting women entrepreneurs in the region.
